Scout STEM Night

Enjoy a night of science scouting fun at Long Island Children’s Museum. Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts will explore different science concepts while diving into STEM projects and demonstrations. Continue the science adventures as you explore the Museum’s hands-on learning spaces. Siblings ages 4 and up welcome.

Includes:

  • Museum admission
  • Refreshments
  • Souvenir patch
  • These fun activities:
    • Oceanic Odyssey – Cephalopods like octopus and squid use jet propulsion to move through the water. Join us in the Green Studio for a fun balloon race to demonstrate this fascinating form of locomotion.
    • Animal Adventure – Learn about our natural world through a close-up animal encounter in the Hive Studio behind the Feasts for Beasts gallery.
    • Buoyant Boats – What keeps a boat afloat? Buoyancy! Join us in the Orange Studio to create your own foil boat and experiment with the salinity of water.
    • Flying Fish – Did you know that some fish can fly? Create your own flying fish in the Community Gallery and send it for a test flight in our wind tube!
