Cupcakes & Cocktails is recognized across Long Island as a unique event, both in terms of dollars raised and excitement produced. Billed as a festive evening for adults to celebrate the child in each of us, Cupcakes and Cocktails is LICM’s only significant annual fundraiser.

Since 2001, Cupcakes & Cocktails has enjoyed remarkable growth, both in terms of its role as an opportunity to expose LICM to many of Long Island’s most influential business and social leaders, and in terms of funds raised. Contributions from Cupcakes & Cocktails allow LICM to enhance its museum-based educational programs and cultural experiences and extend its community outreach programs across Long Island.
The format of the event is unlike that of a traditional fundraiser and features a continuous cocktail party with food stations and passed hors d’oeuvres all evening, top shelf cocktail bars and, of course, cupcakes!
In keeping with the Museum’s reputation for fun, an eclectic mix of live entertainment and hands-on activities are designed to showcase LICM’s exhibit galleries and engage guests. A silent auction with mobile bidding is another highlight of the evening.
2020 Cupcakes was impacted by COVID-19 and LICM translated the joyful elements of the live event to a Virtual Event.
