Temporary Closure 

During routine maintenance of Nunley’s Carousel, a mechanical issue was identified. Given the historic significance of the carousel, we have temporarily paused operations to allow a restoration expert to assess the equipment. 

We look forward to sharing updates on when this beloved Long Island landmark will be spinning again!

Make your own special memories to add to storied history of this magical attraction, which dates back to 1912. The carousel is enclosed by glass and heated during cold weather, allowing the carousel to operate year-round.

Friday from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.; Saturday or Sunday 10:30 a.m. – noon or 3:30 – 5:00 p.m.

Fee

  • $750 for the first 19 guests. $25 for each additional guest. LICM Members receive a discount.

Bring your choice of food, cake and non-alcoholic beverages. Carousel parties accommodate up to 60 people, including children and adults. Read our Carousel Parties FAQ for more details.

Party Favors

  • Let LICM handle your Goody Bags: Customized favor bags are available from the Museum Store starting at $7.50. Call the Museum Store at (516) 224-5814 to make arrangements. Member store discounts apply.
  • Gift Cards for Guests: Let your guests select their own souvenir from the Museum Store or take a spin on Nunley's carousel with gift cards instead of a traditional favor. Let our birthday party team know when booking your party and we will arrange gift cards for an additional $10 for each child guest.
