This month the AdvoKids program will discuss the difficulties those who are left-handed often experience in a world made for right-handed people. Throughout history those who are left-handed were often treated unfairly, and forced to use their right hand. Visitors will learn about different tools that have been made for left-handed people, then make a portrait of their left hand to celebrate the day!
"AdvoKids” is a monthly series focusing on children learning what it means to be an advocate for themselves and others. Adults will learn how they can support their child’s self-advocacy efforts, which promote confidence, resilience and empathy.
This is a drop-in program; it takes approximately 10 minutes and is yours to keep.
