Celebrate Kwanzaa at LICM! Kwanzaa is a week-long holiday that celebrates African American culture and heritage. Join the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority to learn about the rich traditions and meaning behind Kwanzaa while you create festive symbols of this holiday.
Storytelling will take place in the KEVA Gallery at 1 p.m. After the performance, visitors are invited to drop in to the Green Studio on the second floor to weave your own mkeka and create beaded ears of corn to represent your family. No tickets required; activities will end at 3 p.m.
