Slip on reindeer boots from Finland, rice straw sandals from Korea and embroidered mules from Morocco at the newest hands-on “feet-in” exhibit to arrive at LICM. Global Shoes explores the everyday world of shoes, to introduce children and families to people and places around the world. Featuring shoes from more than 40 countries, Global Shoes sparks children’s curiosity about the world through authentic artifacts, hands-on materials and fun and challenging interactive audio and video exhibit components.

What you’ll do:

•    Design crazy and fun shoes in the Global Shoe Factory
•    Engage in creative art, drawing and writing activities
•    Try weaving and making shoes from around the world
•    Investigate world shoes designed for specific jobs, sports and entertainment
•    Read stories and view artwork from children in 16 countries
