For the month of July AdvoKids will celebrate Disability Pride Month by learning about disability rights activist Alice Wong. Alice Wong is known for amplifying the voices of those disabilities. Disability Pride Month promotes the visibility, acceptance and inclusion of those with disabilities. Join us this month to learn about Alice Wong and create a microphone of your own to amplify the voices of those with disabilities.
Daily ticket at the Box Office is required. Workshops will occur from 11 to 11:30am and Noon to 12:30pm.
"AdvoKids” is a monthly series focusing on children learning what it means to be an advocate for themselves and others. Adults will learn how they can support their child’s self-advocacy efforts, which promote confidence, resilience and empathy.
