This June, the AdvoKids series honors Juneteenth, the day that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved people in the U.S. Come discover the importance of this holiday and craft your own jubilee drum as a symbol of freedom and celebration.
"AdvoKids” is a monthly series focusing on children learning what it means to be an advocate for themselves and others. Adults will learn how they can support their child’s self-advocacy efforts, which promote confidence, resilience and empathy.
This is a drop-in program. Stop by anytime between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to participate.
