Scoop, shovel, load, and move!
Kids take charge in this hands-on sandy construction play area where they decide what goes where. Load sand onto vehicles, dig with tools, or use a hand-cranked conveyor belt to transport materials from one end of the “jobsite” to the other.
Through open-ended sensory play, visitors explore how things move, work, and connect. Children experiment with cause and effect, simple machines and the physics of movement while developing problem-solving skills and engineering thinking.
Working together to move sand and keep the site running also encourages communication, collaboration and cooperative play.
