The historic, glass-enclosed Nunley’s Carousel offers unlimited rides, themed crafts, and party fun that runs year-round. It’s a one-of-a-kind way to mark a birthday on Long Island.

Make your own special memories to add to the storied history of this magical attraction, which dates back to 1912. The carousel is enclosed by glass and heated during cold weather, allowing the carousel to operate year-round.

$775 for the first 19 guests. $25 for each additional guest. LICM Members receive a discount.
Bring your choice of food, cake and non-alcoholic beverages. Carousel parties accommodate up to 60 people, including children and adults.
Make your child’s birthday unforgettable with the addition of an enchanting character appearance! Choose from a variety of fan-favorite characters to create a truly memorable experience. Character options include Ice Queen, Rapunzel, Mermaid Princess, Spider Hero, Enchanted Rose Princess and more! Ask about this party enhancement.
Parties are held before open hours from 10:30am-12pm, and after closing to the public from 3:30pm-5pm.
Our Carousel parties accommodate up to 60 people, including the birthday family and all child and adult guests. If you are planning for a larger party or event, you can contact the Events Manager, Karoll Joseph, at kjoseph@licm.org to inquire about other accommodations.
We do not offer food packages. You are welcome to bring the food, dessert and non-alcoholic drinks of your choice. We can make recommendations for local food vendors. We have a refrigerator and freezer where you can store cakes or items in need of refrigeration. We do not permit heated trays/Sternos.
No food or drinks are allowed on the Carousel. To help keep the carousel clean and prevent anyone from getting nauseous, we arrange for food to be served after the rides have ended.
Feel free to bring tabletop decorations. Balloons, confetti, glitter, and pinatas are not permitted. Set up access is available 30 minutes prior to the party.
All party children ages 1 to 12 will need to be on your guest list. This includes siblings of the birthday child and guests.
Long Island Children’s Museum members receive discounts on the party. Inquire with our party team.
Due to popularity, we suggest booking 2-3 months in advance to secure your preferred date and time. Complete our online form to get your party planning process started. You may also contact us by phone or by setting up an appointment. A $375 deposit is required at least 2 weeks in advance of the party date. A final payment is due at the conclusion of the party. Cash and credit cards are accepted.
We will happily refund parties cancelled 2 or more weeks prior to the original date. Parties cancelled within 2 weeks of the original date are not eligible for a refund, but you may reschedule and apply your deposit to a new date that falls within 60 days of the original date.
Nunley’s Carousel is in an enclosed pavilion. Parties can easily be held rain or shine. Should the Carousel close due to severe weather, we will attempt to reschedule your party to the next available date or issue a full refund.
Free parking is available in front of the carousel on Charles Lindbergh Blvd. on Museum Row.
