Whether it’s your first trip to the LICM Theater or your 70th, you can count on enjoying professional performances that are world class and artistically rich. You can choose to come to only a performance or include a theater experience in your visit to the Museum. Through our interactive theater programming, just like in the Museum, you will learn about yourself, your family, your community and your world in a fun, engaging way.

"The Wizard of Oz"

Sunday, July 10 and 17 at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Generations have been delighted by the adventures of Dorothy Gale and her dog Toto. After a tornado whisks them away to the magical land of Oz, they begin a journey to meet the mighty Wizard who can get them back home. Along the way, they meet a Scarecrow, a Tin Woodsman and a Cowardly Lion, who help them avoid the Wicked Witch of the West. Enjoy an hour long musical version of this classic tale.

Session 1: Monday, August 8 through Thursday, August 11 from 10:30 a.m. to noon
Session 2: Monday, August 15 through Thursday, August 18 from 10:30 a.m. to noon
Session 3: Monday, August 29 through Thursday, September 1 from 10:30 a.m. to noon

Theater Tips

Performances include music, theater, dance, puppetry, circus arts, cultural exploration and interactive educational experiences.

Accessibility

The LICM Theater is fully accessible. Our stage is accessible by wheelchair so that all visitors are able to participate in interactive performance experiences. An accessible restroom is located right next to the theater.
