November marks our 25th birthday and we want to celebrate with YOU! Since opening our doors in 1993 in 5,000-square-feet of donated space, the Museum has grown into a premiere institution recognized nationally for award-winning exhibits, programs and expansive community outreach initiatives. Let's celebrate these achievements together.

Kick off the Party

Join us November 17 or November 18 for our Ultimate Birthday Bash, a party 25 years in the making!  Explore the traditions behind birthday celebrations around the world, from candles to gifts and party food. Activities will also explore the color silver’s connection to the number 25 and the night sky’s role as a birthday calendar. Discover the accomplishments of a 25-year-old Nobel Laureate, and work alongside visual artists Mica Angela Hendricks and Brooks Frederick to create a 25-square-foot collaborative painting.

Jugglers, clowns, cultural music, and GRAMMY winner Danny Weinkauf and the Red Pants Band will make appearances. Visit the face painting station to add some flair before hitting the dance floor where DJ Mike will be spinning some birthday favorites. Enjoy cake and birthday treats to cap off the party! Get tickets now.
