November marks our 25th birthday and we want to celebrate with YOU! Since opening our doors in 1993 in 5,000-square-feet of donated space, the Museum has grown into a premiere institution recognized nationally for award-winning exhibits, programs and expansive community outreach initiatives. Let's celebrate these achievements together.

What's to Come

Get ready for 25 weeks of special events, themed workshops and deals and discounts highlighting the Museum’s 25-year history. The Museum kicked off its birthday celebration with the Ultimate Birthday Bash, a two-day birthday party exploring birthday traditions around the world, presented live performances and showcased their creativity with an array of themed activities. LICM will mark its actual birthday by rolling back admission fees to 1993 prices.

Popular performers and productions will return to the LICM Theater during the 25-week celebration. Programming is planned to mark other notable birthdays -- from Dr. King to Dr. Seuss – during the celebration season.  The traveling exhibit TINKERTOY®: Build Your Imagination™ was chosen as the perfect exhibit to represent the creativity, ingenuity and problem-solving the Museum inspires. The Museum’s 25th Birthday Celebration will conclude with its annual Cupcakes & Cocktail fundraiser on May 9.
