What can be done with a dedicated staff,
some time and a "small" budget?

Background Information
You can start your outdoor exhibit as we did, with an inexpensive prototype space to ascertain visitor interest. The seed for this exhibit grew from the interest of LICM exhibit technician Maggie Gray. Pursuing certification as a “Master Gardener” through the Cornell Cooperative Extension Program, she was keenly focused on the value an outdoor space at the Museum would play in connecting children with the natural environment. Her interest coincided with research the Museum was conducting to inform development of a new exhibit that would highlight nature on Long Island.
