Look for garden, water and environmental programs to pop-up in Our Backyard this summer. Every Tuesday and Thursday in July and August the Museum will offer hands-on workshops led by an environmental design educator. Join us as we dig, splash, create and learn in our beautiful outdoor gallery.

Not Just Art: The Subtle Wonders of Childhood
June 10–July 27
Take a look inside the creative minds of children in this exhibitcreated by internationally acclaimed photographeer Rob Goldman to commemorate the 15th anniversary of Not Just Art, a creative enrichment center for children from birth though age 10 (and their adults!) featuring music, art and science, in Oyster Bay. The exhibit features portraits of children’s faces captured as they create art.
Rob Goldman is an internationally published photographer whose fine art, advertising and portraiture work has been celebrated both in gallery exhibition and in national magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Time, Parents, Brides and Mademoiselle. He is best known for his work in Intimate Portraiture, which he defines as “work that is connected; that goes beyond the physical nature of the sitter, offering a bold interpretation of their essential spirit.” Examples of Goldman’s work can be found in both private and corporate collections including the prestigious Polaroid Collection in Waltham, Massachusetts. Rob is a co-founder of Art That Matters, an artist community and gallery in Oyster Bay, New York.
